First and foremost, instructions by the moderators and administrators are to be followed. If you fail to follow these instructions you will be subject to censure, temporary ban (suspension) or permanent banning. The decisions of the moderators and administrators are final. We reserve the right to ban anyone who willfully violates the forum rules, as access to our forums is a privilege and not a right.

Secondly, these rules are non-negotiable and are enforced by all moderators, administrators and unnamed board members with administrative power.

We understand the human need for cowardly hostility and there are certainly plenty of places on the net for you to vent- this ain’t one of them. Members should post in a way that is respectful of other users. Flaming or abusing users in any way will not be tolerated and will lead to a warning, temporary ban (suspension) and or permanent banning.

While debate and discussion is fine, we will not tolerate rudeness, insulting posts, personal attacks or purposeless inflammatory posts. Our decision is final in these matters.

These boards are a community of comic and pop-culture lovers to discuss all the stupid crap that entails. Threads concerning a board drama or personal conflicts will be immediately deleted. Nobody cares!! They are whiny and annoying!

If you are a seasoned member of this board, it is not your obligation to mess with new members. In fact, it is your obligation to do the opposite. We are not a frat house, because frat houses are full of obnoxious jerks, we are the opposite.

Members are asked to not take it upon themselves to enforce these rules (i.e. do not get in a shouting match when someone breaks these rules). If you feel someone is posting offensive material (or is in some other way breaking the rules), report the post and the moderators will deal with the situation.

We reserve the right to remove offensive posts without notice. The definition of what is or is not pornographic and or offensive is up to the moderators and administrators and is not up for discussion.

Members should remember this board is aimed at a general audience. Posting pornographic or generally offensive text, images, links, etc. will not be tolerated and will lead to a warning or permanent banning.

Discussion of illegal activities such as software and music piracy and other intellectual property violations are not allowed. No warez, cracks, serials or illegally obtained copyrighted content! Links to content of a questionable nature (Including pornography), asking for, offering, or asking for help/helping to process such content in any way or form is not tolerated. This includes requesting links to such material (ie, "PM me, please!").

Advertising, spamming and trolling is not tolerated here under any circumstance. This includes using the forum email and Private message system to spam other members.

You cannot post any affiliate or referral links, or post anything asking for a referral. Such posts will be subject to removal. Nor are members allowed to sell anything in their posts nor link to your own eBay auctions.

We also do not allow posts that violate our community standards. The administrators and moderators shall be the sole arbitrator of what does and what does not violate community standards.

There will be no harassing of female posters. You will talk to them as if you were talking to your sister (and we will assume that you respect your sister and hold her in high esteem). All women are allowed to come here without enduring comments on their physical appearance or what you'd like to do to (or with) them.

There will be no slandering of comic book professionals. You are more than welcome to state an opinion of the quality of their work, but you will do so with a qualified opinion, not just saying: it sucked.

Keep the size of personal images down (this includes avatars and signatures).

Signatures and avatars are part of this community as such they are subject to all rules and community standards. We reserve the right to alter signatures and avatars at out discretion.

Members should post in a way that is consistent with "normal writing". That is users should not post excessive numbers of emoticons, large, small or colored text, etc. Similarly users should not SHOUT or use excessive punctuation (e.g. ! and ?) in topic titles or posts. Users consistently abusing this will be warned or banned.

All forum rules where applicable also apply to private messaging. Abuse of the private messaging system may lead to censure, warning, temporary ban (suspension) or permanent banning.

If you don't comply with these rules you will face censure, warning, temporary ban (suspension) or permanent banning (not necessarily in that order).

Arguing with administrators and/or moderators about their decisions to warn, suspend or ban is cause for censure and possibly permanent banning.

Each member is allowed one login account. Registering with multiple accounts is not allowed.

Any attempt to circumvent a temporary ban (suspension) will lead to permanent banning. Circumvention includes re-registering under a non-banned username, changing IP addresses to evade an IP ban, registering a new email account to evade an email ban or posting as an anonymous user.

Permanent bans are a last resort and thought is given before implementing them. While we may consider lifting permanent bans from time to time this is a rare occurrence.
